Another young person died too soon, which is sad. Multiple news sources and police say that 21-year-old rapper Indian Red Boy was shot and killed while in his car on Thursday, July 8. Several videos are going around the internet right now that show the man, who has since died, talking to a friend on Instagram Live at the time and then getting shot while still on the camera.
Lt. Ti Goetz of the Hawthorne police department says that they were called to the 14100 block of Chadron Avenue at 4:10 p.m. local time. CBS Los Angeles also said this was true. The Los Angeles County Fire Department also said that the man who was shot and killed was pronounced dead at the crime scene. Goetz later said that the coroner’s office told him that the rapper, whose real name was Zerail Dijon Rivera, was the person who was killed in the shooting.
“It seems to have been a walk-up shooting, and he seems to have been the target.” He also said, “He seems to be a member of a gang.” The suspect(s) who pulled the trigger is still being looked for.
As we’ve already said, there are videos that show the actual shooting. But we won’t talk about that here. CBS Los Angeles did, however, get a video of Rivera’s family at the scene. They were understandably upset about what had happened, and this was shown in the video.
Many people have left condolences on his Instagram page for the 21-year-old who died. People are saying goodbye to him in many ways. Some are writing “RIP” under his photos; others are writing tributes on their own accounts; and a number of tweets show love.
The person who was on IG Live with Rivera when he was shot and killed also paid tribute to his friend. His IG username is kapaalxt8, which you can see for yourself if you watch the video. Kapaalxt8 captioned a video of Rivera and a photo of him, “LLINDIANREDD.” “I LOVE YOU GANKG” in both.
